Here you will find a variety of pieces that I hope touch a chord in your life. I love humor so there will always be some piece that I hope will bring a smile to your face. I happen to believe that any Creator like the one we have that made the likes of us has to have a great sense of humor.
There is another section that offers prayers for you and asks if we can pray for you. We believe at Christ Community Church that prayer is one of the most important callings. Please let us pray for you, lift you up to the Lord and surround you with the warmth of our prayer teams. Now I know we can all go "direct" to the Master, but it doesn't hurt to have others share your burden.
The last section is what I'm calling "Just a Thought...". I get these 'thoughts' from time to time about some topic that I like to verbalize and sound-off about. I never know where they will take me but this section helps me express view that I feel God might want expressed.
Enjoy our website. I hope you truly find a blessing here and in some small way feel the good Lord touch your heart. Know we truly believe that we are the "Big Little Church" that is large enough to meet needs but small enough to care about each person.
God bless you ... make a great day.

Let us pray:
Lord God,
Be a blessing to all whose hearts are full and in need of your presence.
Help them to realize that there are others who care and who will lift them up to you.
Amen.
Just a thought ...
Sharing "thoughts" that cause a bit of curiosity in me.
The other day I was reflecting on the various headlines in the newspapers and I was struck by all the attention given to the coming elections. One candidate wants this and one wants that. One person promises this and one promises that. One is in favor of this and another is in favor of that. But what stood out was what I assume must be a tremendous amount of time needed for all of these debates and promise developments. That led me to thinking.Go with me for a bit.
You are the Chairman of the board of Nenego22 Corporation making top end products. The President of the corporation has been called in to explain some of his actions in recent months. The following conversation takes place:
“Mr. Oran, it has come to our attention that you are rarely in your office. That you have chosen to travel all over the state, talking to various groups seeking the top C.E.O. position at Nagihcim Corporation.Your daily duties seem to have been given over to people we did not hire…you did…while you seek this new position. Is that true?”
“Mr. Chairman and board members, I don’t really believe you have a right to tell me what I can and cannot do with my time.I am after all still representing Nenego22 while I travel around even though I’m neglecting my daily affairs at the office.I feel I have good people in place to make necessary decisions.”
“So, Mr. Oran, you don’t believe you should look for a new position on your own time but on Nenego22’s time all the while you are being paid by us.Is that correct? And you do not feel you owe us any explanation about how you spend your time or our money? Is that correct?”“You don’t feel you should resign your position with us so you can be honest about seeking a new job?Is that correct?”
“I normally like things black and white, but I prefer not to see things in such a clear light.I guess put that way we seem to have a difference of opinion.
“Mr. Oran, the board and I will be meeting briefly to decide your continued employment with us.By your own admission we have very capable people doing your work, perhaps we’ll just hire them.Anyway I have a feeling the board’s decision will be an easy one.”
Now my conversation is obviously tongue in cheek, but it is humorous in a sad sort of way. No place of employment: School, Business, Hospital yes even church would allow its leadership to collect a paycheck with all of the perks of the position while the individual spent all of his/her time working for another job.In politics however we allow it all the time and we allow individuals, while getting paid with our money, to raise additional funds that will never benefit the job we are paying for.I know the scriptures say we are to “…obey our leaders and submit to them…(Hebrews 13:17), but their actions never ceases to amaze me.Why do we allow it?Just a thought...

If there is some ministry you feel this church needs to entertain - please make it known to us. If there is a study group we can form or a topic you are interested in let us explore it together. If there are prayers you need for yourself or loved ones please contact us. We have a prayer group that meets weekly and dozens of members praying daily. I will be very happy to keep your request confidential if you contact me directly.
So, if you are searching for God’s direction in your life or if you are just plain searching; if you aren’t perfect; if you are looking for an accepting group; if you have ever been a hypocrite; if you want to be challenged to be faithful AND fruitful; if you love the Lord a little and want to love the Lord more…come and join us for worship, join one of our groups or start a new one, just stop by to talk, or better yet give me an excuse to get out of my office and buy you a cup of coffee.
Know you are loved and someone thinks you are very important!
Please look through our site and make yourself at home.
Warmly, Pastor Mike

In Sunday School, they were teaching how God created everything, including human beings. Little Johnny seemed especially intent when they told him how Eve was created out of one of Adam's ribs.
Later in the week, his mother noticed him lying down as though he were ill, and said, "Johnny what is the matter?"
Little Johnny responded, "I have a pain in my side. I think I’m going to have a wife."
